• Gate won’t respond to the remote or keypad at all. That’s usually the receiver board or the keypad controller. If the gate opens fine with the manual button but ignores everything else, the access control board has lost its mind - power’s coming in, nothing’s going out.
• The keypad lights up but the gate stays put. The keypad is talking; the operator isn’t listening. We find this on Deimos units where the encrypted handshake between the keypad and board goes dead after a lightning strike or a power surge.
